Paper on synthesis of optically active V-shaped molecules based on planar chiral [2.2]paracyclophanes was published in Asian J. Org. Chem. The molecules are CPL emissive and form one-dimensional zig-zag structures through hydrogen bonds in the crystals with three hydrogen-bonded chains bundled to construct a one-handed triple helix.
