CPP-emitting Chiral Organometallic Complexes and the Theoretical Investigation

Optically active organometallic complexes, such as Pt complexes, exhibit circularly polarized phosphorescence (CPP) from the triplet excited states. The phosphorescent materials have already been applied for organic light emitting diodes (OLED) and have been actively investigated to enhance the emission efficiency.

The CPP materials are the promising candidates for efficient and energy conservative functional materials. However, the mechanistic studies on the CPP has been insufficient. We are contributing to this field by cleating highly efficient CPP materials and constructing the theoretical model [1,2].
