Paper on development of the optical resolution method of pseudo-para-disubstituted [2.2]paracyclophane and the synthesis of optically active U-shaped molecules in which phenanthrene and [4]helicene were stacked was published in J. Mater. Chem. C. The molecules emitted intense CPL, and chiroptical properties were compared with those of the corresponding U-shaped molecules prepared from pseudo-meta-disubstituted [2.2]paracyclophane.
